I can take pictures again

So most of you have probably heard my whining about my camera being at the "hospital" for the past 2 weeks. I got it back yesterday & of course it was raining, but here's a shot I grabbed of Cole watching Blue's Clues. He's singing the song with Joe "sit down in your thinking chair & think...think...think..."

Danger, danger, danger!

The Summer Olympics are proving to be quite dangerous around our house. The ottoman has been converted into a gymnastics vault, the rug is a mat for floor routines & back flips, and blue scarves have become water for the synchronized high dive. :-0 We may end up with a trip (or 2) to the emergency room before the final ceremony.

Needless to say the kids are very much into the games. They chant "Go America!!!" whenever they see any competitors on tv. I remember watching the Olympics when I was Owen's age & getting an American flag leotard "signed" by Mary Lou Retton. I'm so happy to see the same enthusiasm from Owen, Jacob & Cole. Owen has proclaimed that one day we'll watch him in the Olympics on tv. He said we can't go in person because we might be late. :-)

I got what I deserved...

Earlier today I was getting things ready for lunch (frozen Kashi roasted veggie pizza if anyone cares) when Jacob came into the kitchen asking to use the potty. I completely brushed him off…after all he’s only 19 months so we aren’t really forcing the potty issue yet. He immediately turned around, pulled his Diego Pull-up down in front & peed on the kitchen floor. Nice.
